Contend for the Faith (Jude 1:1-4)

Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ: May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Beloved, being very eager to write to you of our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For admission has been secretly gained by some who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Serving the Lord with Gladness

Monday, November 7, 2011
God desires that we be so convinced of His tender love, so persuaded He is at work bringing us into His best, that we will have continual joy and gladness in our walk with Him! Moses warned Israel, “Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things, therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of all things” (Deuteronomy 28:47-48).

Principle: I am blessed to be a blessing

Principle: I am blessed to be a blessing
This is a foundational text for me:
The LORD said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
So Abram left, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him.

Let God Lead You to Be a Blessing

We often only think of being a blessing to others financially.  We tend to forget there are other ways to "bless" someone.  When you listen, truly listen, to the voice of God you will be led to do what needs to be done.  It's that simple.
God will lead you to the person(s) who needs that 'how are you today?'. He will lead you to that person(s) who just needs a 'I was just calling to check on you, haven't seen you in a while'.  God will send you to that person(s) who has "shut down" for all intents and purposes, that person(s) who is just fed up.

I'm Blessed (A poem)

I'M BLESSED!
byJoyce M Bell
Often when someone asks me, "how are you?" I'll answer, "I'm Blessed!" However, I have found that this answer sometimes offends and, it seems, is vastly misunderstood. When a person states that they are blessed...it is not a 'boast', but a 'claim' to the gifts of Salvation that were wrought on Calvary for the entire world. Therefore, being aware of who you are and what you are doesn't mean that one thinks they are sinless(which no one is) or superior to any one.

Blessed to be a Blessing

I think one of the easiest traps we fall into is taking the blessings of God for granted. We are so blessed in so many ways and yet we often just assume that we have a right to it. We often forget that most of the world is barely struggling to survive.

Let me just put this into perspective. According to the International Programs Center, U.S. Bureau of the Census, the total population of the World, projected to last Friday night at 10:14 PM EDST was 6,359,256,483.

As I Look Back Over My Life...

We are celebrating nine years in ministry, and I am so thankful to God for where he has brought us thus far these nine years. There is a song that says, 'as I look back over my life and I think things over I can truly say that I've been blessed I've got a testimony'. When I look back over my life, I have come to understand that where I am today started long before I even knew myself. God had already predestined the things that have taken place in my life and in this ministry long before I came to understand it myself.

A "Gaius" Blessing

I am grateful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the all the many blessings He has bestowed upon this ministry, and the direction He is taking us is just awesome!  We now have been in ministry for“Nine Years”and the Lord has poured out upon us in such a miraculous way, To God be the glory.  Once again I hear these words:  We are blessed to be a blessing.
God’s blessings rest upon those who are faithful to Him and obedience to His word
III John verses 1-2 reads, "

Be a Blessing to Others

I thank God from whom all blessings flow.  I am grateful for all the many blessings He has bestowed upon this ministry.  It’s very important that we understand that with whatever God has blessed us with that we are to be a blessing to others, not by just saying 'I am blessed,' but by our deeds. For we are blessed to be a blessing.  In Genesis 12:1 & 2, God spoke to Abram to relocate to another country, He would make him the father of many nations and He was going to bless him, make him prosperous.
